Houses of Parliament Trip

Our School Councillors, House Captains and 10 lucky competition winners have spent today in London, for a unique tour of Westminster Palace, better known as the Houses of Parliament.

They visited the House of Lords in the public gallery while it was in session and then went on to the House of Commons to see where the Prime Minister and MPs debate the issues of the day.

They finished their tour with a workshop about democracy and learned about how ideas are turned into laws. They even had a brief chat with Lord Russell of Liverpool - Stanley Baldwin’s great grandson!
