Our Trip to Warwick Castle
What an incredible day Year 2 have had. We hope the children enjoyed it as much as the adults!
We have included photos of our castle walk, where we practised our castle defences. Yesterday we learned about the iron gates and arrow and gun loops. We also looked at crenals and merlons and looked great when we were at the top of the tower. You can see some of us hiding during a 'volley' or arrows coming our way before firing our own back!
The bowman was brilliant and quite accurate. He threatened to shoot the children in the high visibility jackets a couple of times because they were too quiet!
The Falconry Quest was incredible and the birds were SO close to our heads. I'm glad we had done our risk assessment on Friday and chose the best place to sit.
Finally we went into the Great Hall where we saw armour, swords and shields and looked at a model of Warwick Castle amongst many many other things!
A great, great trip
