Year Six are loving their Art lessons this term, using clay to sculpt the figureheads to go on the top of canopic jars! They've learned all about the symbolism of the jars through their Egyptian history lessons and are now recreating one of the four traditional designs to make their own (without the traditional internal organs!). They've used a range of tools to carve and add shapes, textures and patterns and they're now looking forward to the next step of painting to add extra details.
