Year 5 completed a very special mission in their recent science lesson! Using their knowledge of solids, liquids and gases, they were set the challenge of uncovering what was contaminating a sample of 'river' water. To aid this, they were given a range of equipment along with a few red herrings. The children really impressed us with their skills of scientific enquiry as they sieved and filtered the mixture to uncover the contaminants - even identifying the salt which had dissolved in the water!
